Dialogues Between Sculptures is a series in which my figurative sculptures speak emotions and perceptions to one another.
Sculptures in Conversation โ Art, Emotion and Psychology
As a psychologist and sculptor, I use short dialogues between sculptures to explore emotions, relationships, inner conflicts, worries, humor and the ways people understand โ or misunderstand โ each other.
The sculptures were originally created as expressive psychological works. By bringing them together and adding brief conversations, I create another layer of meaning: a visual encounter in which body language, facial expression and words interact.
Some dialogues are serious, some tender, and others humorous. They reflect familiar human experiences โ self-doubt, judgment, love, family relationships, anxiety, aging, temptation, loneliness and the need for connection.
The sculptures themselves remain exactly as originally created and photographed. The dialogue gives them a new setting in which their psychological character can speak.
